What is one of the most common causes of shoulder pain and dysfunction?
Adhesion in the rotator cuff....
The rotator cuff is comprised of four muscles & tendons: supraspinatus, infraspinatus, teres minor, and subscapularis. The job of the rotator cuff is to stabilize the shoulder joint.
Adhesion (scar tissue) in the rotator cuff muscles will decrease stability of the shoulder joint putting you at risk for more pain, stiffness and eventually lead to shoulder injury.
If you feel like your shoulders are always tight or painful, even with stretching, you probably already have this issue or worse. You need to have an assessment to have a proper diagnosis.
We treat adhesion in the shoulder area daily, as it is that common.
The good news is that adhesion is reversible! Dr. Eric Lambert and Maggie Zick at Discover Chiropractic and Soft Tissue Clinic specialize at finding and fixing adhesions. Even if you are reading this and already have degeneration, arthritis, or a tear you can still see improvement in your function and pain. In fact, the majority of patients that we help have seen multiple providers and not received the care they need because adhesion is the most misdiagnosed condition. They both are certified to manually fix conditions from head to toe. Most of us know a lot of people with chronic pain that aren’t getting the help they need.
