Creating excellence takes time and effort.
This year is my 20th year in practice.
A lot has changed in 20 years:
I was one of the first clinics in Grand Rapids to have a website. (paper ads worked better then)
X-rays were still processed using chemicals, not digitally like today.
The iPhone wasn’t even invented when I started practice.
I have moved three times since being in practice.
Changed the name of my office 4 times from Discover Chiropractic Center to Discover Chiropractic and Massage to Discover Chiropractic and Soft Tissue Clinic to now Discover Soft Tissue and Spine.
I have learned a ton about working with others, including patients and other doctors.
I have changed how I practice to meet the times and improved.
Things that have not changed:
Being the one of the first clinics in Michigan to bring a soft tissue approach to chiropractic practice. (I was the first clinic in Michigan to be certified in Active Release Techniques (ART) Soft Tissue Treatment and also the first clinic to be certified in Integrative Diagnosis (ID) soft tissue treatment system)
Our ethics and commitment to clinical excellence.
The need and want to learn more every year to help the patients I treat.
It takes a lot of commitment, learning and just pure wanting it more to create excellence. And you don’t do it overnight at all.
I’m still learning every year and improving. I figure as long as I continue to practice and help people I will continue to learn and do the best I can for people.
So thank you to all of the patients and others who have made the first 20 years great. I’m looking forward to making the next 20 even better.
